Sandcastle Access Updates to Make Member and Guest Use Easier, Starting in April

In February, the KICA board of directors approved an update to the Sandcastle’s access policies. The update will go into effect Sunday, April 14. The good news is these changes open up access to certain amenities that were limited over the previous year, making access easier for members and their guests.

For members with children in the household, the check-in age was lowered to 16. Children will still need an ID to check-in.

Access will be easier for members who want to bring guests. Bring your guests to use either pool or take a fitness class. Our ‘After Five’ access means you can bring guests with you to the gym after 5 p.m. every day. All restrictions (except the age requirements – 21 at the Oceanview Adult Pool, 18 at the gym) are lifted from 5 p.m. to close.

Unaccompanied guest access returns for members who aren’t on the island with their guests. Starting April 8, you’ll be able to submit your guests so they can use the Sandcastle’s amenities, including the Family Pool anytime or  Oceanview Adult Pool (off-season and after 5 p.m.). Unaccompanied guests can’t be added in person so be sure to set your guests up with access ahead of time.See a full breakdown of the access policies, including a chart and the board’s resolution, here.
