Kiawah's security gates are controlled by the Kiawah Island Community Association
Community members are provided with vehicle decals to access Kiawah by KICA Member Services at Beachwalker Center (23 Beachwalker Drive). To request a decal for your vehicle, complete the application below and provide a copy of your current vehicle registration to member services or stop by Beachwalker Center to complete the process.
Members may request a gate pass for a guest by contacting KICA Security or through your online gate access management account. Members are required to share their Security Verification Word for requests that are called in or emailed. Your guest's pass will be available for pickup at the Main Gate. Upon arrival, your guests may be be asked to provide the member name and address they are visiting.
Please note, the companies you procure for home services or deliveries must follow the gate access requirements for commercial access below.
Resort and Rental Guests
If you are renting a vacation home or staying at a Kiawah Island Golf Resort property, your gate pass will be coordinated through your rental company or the resort.
Access for Commercial Customers
Kiawah Island is a private community and access to the island is permitted to authorized entities only during specific hours. To access the island, Commercial Customers, including delivery vehicles, must purchase a gate pass. A one-day or annual gate pass may be purchased at the Kiawah Island Community Association's Pass Office during business hours or Kiawah's Main Gate after-hours.
Access for Island Employees
If you work for a Kiawah Island organization, like the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, contact your employer for gate access information. If you need a temporary pass, visit the Pass Office at Beachwalker Center.
