Fostering the Kiawah Community
All community members who own property beyond the Kiawah River Bridge are members of the Kiawah Island Community Association. Your membership includes the use of premier amenities, extensive member services, and the right to vote. Member annual assessments contribute to funding island security, infrastructure and land maintenance, The Sandcastle and other facility operations, numerous services and more.

As a KICA member, you have access to amenities across the island, including The Sandcastle, three boat or kayak launch facilities, three observation towers, miles of leisure trails, and over 30 beach access boardwalks. Click locations on the map to learn more.

Our member services team can provide you with a member vehicle decal for gate access, notorize documents, answer billing questions and help you with any general inquiries.
Our team at The Sandcastle can assist you with private event planning and room rentals, boat access for launch facilities, joining the kayak storage waitlist, water activity rental information and more.
KICA is dedicated to keeping your family and property safe, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.
KICA’s security team is composed of professionals with a range of specialized experience from emergency management to law enforcement. Our security team controls gate access, conducts island-wide patrols, and can assist you with your guest gate access requests, tire changes, battery jumps, home checks and parking assistance at your private home event.
Property Maintenance Services
KICA's maintenance team offers discounted pine straw sales, mailbox painting and repairs and backflow testing and certification.

Make memories, not maps.
KICA's transportation service provides association members with a safe and luxurious way to travel to and from various Charleston-area destinations, including the airport and downtown.
Specially trained driving and security professionals can transport up to ten guests in a custom black Mercedes Sprinter or up to five in a black Toyota Sequoia.
Standard Destinations: Rates are for a round-trip for up to two people. Additional passengers departing and arriving at the same destination are $20 each.
