Arts on the Island

It’s easy to think of Kiawah as a golf destination but the island also hosts exciting arts events throughout the year.

Community Association Art and Artisan Showcase – this twice-yearly event gathers artists and artisans from around the Lowcountry all in one place. The showcase takes place in the spring and fall. Member Events and Groups The Our World Lecture Series is a long-running member favorite, hosting interesting people sharing their expertise. Past guests include KIGR president Roger Warren, journalist and NPR host Amy Walter, and the Kiawah Island Photo Club. The series runs from September to June at The Sandcastle. There are many member groups on the island with a focus on the arts.

Kiawah Island Golf Resort
From the famed Earl Klugh Weekend of Jazz to the culinary fun of Gourmet and Grapes, the Kiawah Island Golf Resort presents many arts events.

Freshfields Village
Freshfields Village, located minutes from the gate, features concerts and events for members and guests alike. With a wide, green expanse of lawn, this location is great for enjoying a casual movie or concert.

The Art and House Tour
The Art and House Tour, presented by Arts Etc., takes place each spring and gives attendees a peek inside the lives of their neighbors. Showcasing beautiful Kiawah homes, paired with interesting works of art and performances, this Kiawah tradition is not to be missed.
