Notice: Island-Wide Mosquito Spray Monday, Sept. 11

Charleston County will be conducting an island-wide mosquito spray from truck-mounted sprayers after dusk on Monday, Sept. 11. Typically, KICA conducts weekly spraying in zones (there are 30 zones tested each week) with high counts, balancing human comfort and environmental responsibility. However, with Tropical Storm Idalia’s recent visit, the wet environment caused a boom in breeding and counts high enough throughout the island to require an island-wide spray from Charleston County.
