Make the Most of Summer’s Waning Days at the Sandcastle

The premier member amenity on the island, the Sandcastle serves about 70% of the membership according to KICA’s 2023 Member Survey. Though the summer season is ending, there’s still time  to make the most of these last summer days at your community clubhouse.

Through Labor Day, stop by for a meal from the Castle Grille. Bonus if you enjoy the late-summer lull in the ocean breeze on the verandah.

As always, when you come to the Sandcastle, we want to provide the best possible experience for members, their families, and guests. You can help make your time spent at the pool as enjoyable as possible by reviewing the rules below. Each category of rules is intended to create a welcoming, community environment for all Sandcastle users.

Access

• Check in at the pool kiosk or Sandcastle front desk. Members must be at least 18 to check-in. Members under 18 must check in with an eligible member or nonmember with complimentary access.
• Off-season access policies go into effect on Tuesday, Sept. 5. See the access chart here.

Enjoyment

• Children who are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper and swim liner.
• Chairs are on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserving chairs is not permitted.
• Personal speakers are not permitted.

Prohibited

• No running on the pool deck.
• No glass is permitted in the pool area.
• Children who are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper and swim liner.
• No large floats or toys are permitted.
• No bikes are permitted in the pool area.
• Smoking and vaping are not permitted.
• The Sandcastle is a family-friendly facility; traditional swimwear is required.
