Kiawah Marathon Affects Traffic Dec. 10

The 44th annual Kiawah Island Golf Resort Marathon will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022. Find complete info, including the race routes and participation information, at KiawahMarathon.com.

Please use extreme caution on roadways and watch for race participants. Road closures will affect traffic on the roads below. Please plan alternate or delayed travel from the locations below during the closures.

 

Road Closures/Delays

On Race Day – Saturday, December 10 – please avoid the following roads:

• Shipwatch Road | 7:30–8:30 a.m.
• Kiawah Beach Drive | 7:45–8:30 a.m.
• Kiawah Island Parkway | 8–9 a.m.
• Greensward Drive | 8–8:45 a.m.
• Governors Drive (Vanderhorst Gate to 1^st Flyway Drive) | 8:15–9:15 a.m.
• Governors Drive (1^st Flyway to Ocean Course Drive) | 8:30–9:45 a.m.

The island will be closed to commercial traffic for the event. Commercial access will resume regular hours on Monday, Dec. 12 at 7 a.m.
