Indulge in Thanksgiving Events Around the Island
Thanksgiving is the best time for indulging and we don’t just mean that extra slice of pie! Leave room in your schedule for these great holiday events around the island
Resort Events Around the Island
The Kiawah Island Golf Resort always has great events for the holidays for their guests and community members to attend. Start your Thanksgiving off right, with the annual Turkey Trot at 9:30 a.m. at the Sanctuary beach access. After, stop by the park for some fall fun at the Thanksgiving Festival! From 12 – 4 p.m. enjoy live music, inflatables, and southern lawn games at Night Heron Park.
The resort’s Thanksgiving events are limited to Kiawah Island guests and residents. These events are complementary and no reservations are required.
Keep the Celebration Going at Freshfields Village
Kick off the festive season at Freshfields from Friday, Nov. 29 to Saturday, Nov. 30 as they welcome Santa to the Village Green! In addition to photos at Santa’s Surf Shack, guests can enjoy live music, strolling carolers, and interactive performers each day throughout the weekend.
Kiawah River Home for the Holidays Market
Head just down the road to Kiawah River on Friday, November 29, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a holiday market. Jump aboard a trolley for a tour of Kiawah River, featuring our riverside pool amenity The Spring House, The Dunlin Hotel, and the Southern Living Idea House with breathtaking views. With over 40 vendors, including local farmers, artists, and craftsmen, our holiday market has something for everyone. Between tours, sip and stroll through the market to find the perfect holiday gifts from local artists, jewelry and accessory designers. Tasty bites will be served by local food trucks, including Libs Diner, Sticky Fingers BBQ, Shaka Shrimp, and First Name Basis. Coffee and drinks will also be available from the Dunlin. Enjoy live music by a local band!
