Guide the Association’s Future by Serving on One of Four Committees & Task Forces

Four of KICA’s committees and task forces are currently seeking volunteers, meaning this is a great opportunity to help steer the association’s future strategies and actions. Committees and task forces will make recommendations to the board of directors on important island concerns, like finance, safety and enforcement, architectural review and human resources.

Act as an advisor for your community by applying to serve on one of the committees or task forces below.


 

FINANCE COMMITTEE 

3 volunteers needed for four-year terms – Apply by Saturday, April 6 at noon

The Finance Committee oversees the annual budget, audit, insurance renewal, reserve study, investments, and financial reporting. Check out these meeting videos to see how the Finance Committee operates.

KICA/TOKI JOINT TASK FORCE FOR ARB RELATIONSHIP REVIEW

1 volunteer needed for a 1-year term – Apply by Saturday, April 6 at noon

The KICA/TOKI Joint Task Force For ARB Relationship Review (view charter) was established in 2023 to review and make recommendations about various architectural review issues on Kiawah Island.

HUMAN RESOURCE COMMITTEE

1 volunteer needed for a three-year term – Apply by Saturday, April 13 at noon

The Human Resource (HR) Committee (view charter) is a standing advisory committee to the KICA board, established to confirm the reasonableness of KICA employee’s total compensation and to ensure that effective policies are in place to enable KICA to retain, attract and reward its employees.

SECURITY AND ENFORCEMENT COMMITTEE

3 volunteers needed for 3-year terms – Apply by Saturday, April 13 at noon

The Security and Enforcement Committee (view charter) was established in 2024 when the KICA board saw the need to create a standing committee from the previous Security and Enforcement Task Force. The committee will collaborate between entities and member stakeholders to address strategies to make the island safer through integrated strategies for engagement, education and enforcement.
