Our World – Cancelled

This event has been cancelled. The Our World Committee hopes to reschedule this program in Spring 2023.
Our World is a complimentary educational lecture series that provides members with presentations by local experts on a wide variety of subjects. The Our World season launches at the end of September through April and all presentations are held on Thursdays at 3 p.m. at the Sandcastle.
Dr. Lori McMahon joined the Medical University of South Carolina in 2021 as Professor of Neuroscience and serves as the Vice President for Research. Dr. McMahon’s research centers on Alzheimer’s and Dementia-related diseases. She will review her current findings and discuss the ongoing work that MUSC is doing in the Institute for Healthy Aging. Our World is fortunate that Dr. McMahon invests in community centered health efforts and is an expert in a subject we know to be very important.
