KICA Members Addressing Island Concerns

Your neighbors are doing important work in KICA task forces and user groups, appointed by the KICA board of directors with community members, board directors and KICA staff. See what the groups below are tackling now:

Amenities Task Force

This task force is reviewing KICA amenities outside of The Sandcastle, including trails, boardwalks, boating facilities, etc. They are working to develop a priority list of potential improvements and projected costs.

Sandcastle User Group

The user group is exploring the member experience at The Sandcastle, potential programming opportunities, updated rules for the upcoming pool season, a review of Sandcastle fees and use of reservation systems.

Security & Enforcement Task Force

This task force is implementing a five-phase traffic calming program in coordination with the TOKI public safety director and CCSO, including reduction of island speeds on main thoroughfares (see above) and deployment of new equipment.
