Line of Sight Pruning Begins – Kiawah Island Parkway and Governor’s Drive

On Wednesday, Jan. 25, select right-of-way pruning will begin on the Kiawah Island Parkway, outbound from the first overpass to Green Dolphin Way, inbound by Night Heron Park, and on Governor’s Dr. from 1st Flyway to the Ocean Park entrance on both sides of the road for height clearance. This project will require intermittent closures on the island’s main thoroughfares. During this time flaggers will be in place to direct traffic. Members may experience delays in the area as crews work starting at 9 a.m. each day. Please drive with caution and allow additional time for travel. This work is expected to take five weeks to complete.
