Kiawah Triathlon Races on Kiawah This Sunday

The Kiawah Triathlon returns to the island this weekend, and there will be plenty of opportunities for you to cheer on the participants. During the event, there will be traffic impacts. Please remember to use caution while driving on the island during this event, and watch for athletes and spectators.

Road Closures: All roads will be open with the exception of Sea Forest Drive at Night Heron Park (after Summer Duck Way and before three way stop at Mariner’s Watch), which will be closed to through traffic 7:15 am to 12:30 pm.

Be prepared to stop:  Deputies will be on site at the intersection of Kiawah Island Parkway, Sea Marsh Drive and Surfwatch Drive (West Beach) between the hours of 8:45am – 11:45am. Please be prepared for intermittent traffic delays

Bikers on Roads:

Triathlon bikes will be traveling on the island roadways below. Please use extreme caution when traveling these roads.

Safety: Deputies and race volunteers will be at all major intersections assisting with traffic control. Please use extreme caution while driving on the island on race morning, giving bikers and runners the right of way.
