Beach Yoga Raises Funds for Breast Cancer

In honor of breast cancer awareness month, world-class yoga instructor Vanessa McMann led KICA members in a beach yoga class, with donations to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The class raised $400 which will go directly to support the foundation’s work raising awareness of breast cancer in the community.

Participants were treated to an invigorating beach class by a Kiawah regular; Vanessa, who now lives in Germany with her husband and young child, has been coming to Kiawah with her family for almost 30 years. It is on Kiawah where Vanessa fell in love with all things fitness; riding her bike all over the island, running on the beach and swimming daily.
