Town of Kiawah Island -Shorebird Stewardship Virtual Kickoff

Are you interested in learning about and helping to protect Kiawah’s shorebirds? The Shorebird Stewardship Program is looking for volunteers to advocate for the amazing shorebirds that visit Kiawah. Volunteers are needed during the Red Knot spring migration season (March-May) and during the nesting season of some of our iconic shorebirds (through the end of July). You can volunteer during either or both of these seasons. No experience is necessary, training will be provided.

Existing Flockwatchers and Shorebird Stewards are encouraged to attend as well. Interested parties please email Bette Popillo at [email protected] to get the Zoom link or for more information.
