Called “the mother of the Civil Rights Movement” by Dr. Martin Luther King, the life and work of Charlestonian and visionary educator and civil rights leader Septima Poinsette Clark is beautifully explored in this one-woman play with music. Written by Patricia Williams Dockery, Septima Clark is an entertaining and inspiring exploration of how the power of a single voice can help shape a nation.
