POPs Progressive Dinner

Nothing builds community like dining together, especially when it’s in our own homes. That feeling is part of what inspires the Progressive Dinner each year. This year’s dinner takes place on Sunday, April 7 and will kick off at The Sandcastle and progress according to the schedule below:
5 p.m. | Appetizers | The Sandcastle
6:30 p.m. | Dinner | In Members’ Homes
8:30 p.m. | Dessert | In Members’ Homes
From March 8 through 25, KICA members are invited to sign up for this event, and select a course to volunteer for.
Participants may volunteer for the following :
- Provide appetizers for 10 and 2 bottles of wine to start the evening
- Host an entree in your home for 6+
- Provide bread, salad, and/or wine, as instructed by entrée host
- Host dessert and coffee for 6+ in your home
There will be limited number of volunteers needed for each course, depending on how many sign up for the event.
POPs strongly recommends signing up to host for dinner or dessert if you have attended previously. Please be courteous and allow your newer neighbors the opportunity to provide appetizers.

Kiawah’s Property Owners’ Parties (POPs) group has operated independently on the island since 1986, making it one of Kiawah’s longest-standing member groups, with its own committee and membership. The group was formed long before the existence of The Sandcastle or any community association Recreation department as a social club, cultivating a calendar of well-honed events that have continued for decades.
