Attention sports fans: Sports writer Rob Weintraub is the author of a fascinating new book on tennis star, Alice Marble. Publisher’s Weekly says The Divine Miss Marble: A Life of Tennis, Fame, and Mystery is “must reading”. A winner of both the US Tennis Open and Wimbledon titles, Marble’s story is an insightful study of competitive sports and the movie-star life she led during the 1930’s and World War II.

about our world

Established in 2008 under the auspices of the Kiawah Island Community Association (KICA), Our World is an educational outreach program for Kiawah property owners, which invites speakers with expert knowledge of local, national and global issues of significance. Committee members include KICA members who partner with Sandcastle staff to provide several programs each month on Thursdays from October through April.
