Open House & Blessing of the Apparatus

Join the community for an open house and blessing of the apparatus of St. John’s fire District Fire Station #4 (12 Sora Rail Rd) starting at 9:00 am. It is customary in the fire service to give a new apparatus a washdown and a blessing before being pushed into the station. Concluding the openhouse, Engine 704 will be placed in service and will serve the residents and visitors of Kiawah.
Additionally, the Kiawah Photo Club has donated over 40 print canvases of photos from their members they have donated to our fire stations. These will be on display during the open house. The ceremony will begin shortly after 9:00 am. Parking will be available along Sora Rail Road.
