Each season the Kiawah Arts and Cultural Events Council presents a program featuring some of the talented and accomplished young artists in our community. Our Arts Council audiences have always enthusiastically received these students. This year, we’re pleased to showcase the College of Charleston School of the Arts Department of Theatre and Dance for your enjoyment.
Spend a delightful evening with the College of Charleston’s premier musical theatre performance troupe, The Broadway Ensemble. Enjoy Broadway hits from Shrek the Musical, Next to Normal, Guys & Dolls, The Life, Songs for a New World, and more. There will be musical trivia and perhaps a few prizes!
Student-centered learning is a hallmark of the College of Charleston, especially in the Theatre and Dance Department. Students aren’t just numbers but close partners in an artistic community formed and shaped in the classroom, studio, and productions. They study with passionate and dedicated faculty members in small classroom settings and create varied production seasons. The program’s attention to the individual and abundant opportunities allow students to gain valuable experience in all aspects of theatre and dance production and study. We are pleased to welcome these student performers to Kiawah!
