4th Annual Plastic-Free Waters Sweep

Join the Kiawah Conservancy and South Carolina Aquarium for this exciting island-wide litter sweep beginning at 9 a.m. at The Sandcastle. This month’s litter sweep is very special; it’s the 4th Annual Pam and D. Michael Wilson Plastic-Free Waters Kiawah Sweep! This is also the same date as the Beach Sweep River Sweep effort taking place all over the state AND is International Coastal Cleanup of 2023!
Unlike the monthly sweeps, the meetup location is at the Sandcastle (not Mingo Point). Just show up at 9 a.m. and organizers will assign you a zone and team. Be sure to dress for the weather and bring a reusable water bottle; a water refill station will be available. We’ll meet back at The Sandcastle after the sweep to enjoy pizza and refreshments!
