Access Fees Increase for 2023

As we approach the new year, we’d like to provide our commercial customers with notice of some changes coming to commercial access in January of 2023. With the approval of the 2023 KICA budget in December, our board of directors increased the cost of daily passes and annual access decals. This change will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2023. The new rates are below.

2023 Commercial Access Rates

Commercial customers relying on daily access passes will notice the increased prices immediately in January, while those that use annual decals will see the increase in the month at renewal. If you have an annual decal, you will receive an automatic notification via email the month your decal is scheduled to expire. (Make sure you receive these notifications by updating your email address if it has changed. Email changes to [email protected].)

While we realize that an increase in costs is never welcome, this change was made by KICA’s board of directors in light of rising costs for road repair and maintenance. Island access fees have not increased in the past five years, and daily access rates for 4-wheel vehicles haven’t increased in 10 years.

We look forward to working with you to facilitate your continued access to Kiawah Island. Please reach out if you have any questions.
