Three KICA employees test positive for COVID-19

A NOTIFICATION FROM COO JIMMY BAILEY

Dear members,

I regret to inform you that three employees in our Security Department have tested positive for COVID-19. These three individuals all worked the same shift. One of the employees was on-site as recently as yesterday. Contact tracing is underway for all other employees who work the night shift and quarantines will be imposed if close contact is determined. There is no known member contact, and interaction would be limited to the act of handing out a pass at the gate.

As we approach the first anniversary of modified KICA operations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re thankful that impacts to staffing have been manageable. Most of our prior positive cases have involved a single employee at a time and not multiple employees from the same shift. Our Security director is working with his team to ensure gate operations continue uninterrupted, though requests may take additional time as staffing levels are temporarily reduced. We ask for your patience in advance as we continue to navigate these challenging times.

It has been a difficult year, but I am proud of our team and their efforts. Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Jimmy Bailey
KICA Chief Operating Officer
