Tai Chi/Qi Gong at the Sandcastle

Instructor Mary Jo Roberts will teach two tai chi/qi gong workshops in January, with sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tai chi/qi gong is a program of low impact, gentle movement. Each posture flows into the next without pause, keeping the body in constant motion. Learn this gentle and beneficial art, which can help increase flexibility and improve joint mobility. The practice can also lower stress and promote a sense of calm and well-being.

No experience is necessary to participate in the workshops, which will include stretching, breathing and guidance on proper stances.

Mary Jo Roberts has been a tai chi and qi gong practitioner for two decades. She has successfully adapted qi gong for people with disabilities.
