Kiawah Island Photography Club Presents Planning Your Safari with Insider Tips by Nigel Crofton
Have you been thinking about an African safari but aren’t sure of how, where, when, what to pack or what camera gear to bring? Join us as Nigel Crofton gives you the details. Nigel was born and brought up in Malawi, central Africa and has 26 years’ experience in the African safari industry. In 1998, Nigel founded Outposts to represent the finest safari camps and private islands in Africa and the Indian Ocean. His clients include Wilderness Safaris, Cottar’s 1920s Camp, Masai Mara, Africa’s oldest safari company and North Island, where Prince William and Kate Middleton honeymooned.
Nigel will discuss the characteristics of the diverse regions of Africa, types of safaris that are available, differences that the time of year can make in what you will see, clothing to take, photography equipment you will find most useful for the different styles of safaris, and many other factors that you must consider in choosing the right safari for you.
