Naturally Kiawah Demonstration Garden in Night Heron Park

Join in the Earth Day Celebration on April 20 from 4-7pm in the Naturally Kiawah Demonstration Garden in Night Heron Park. Enjoy hands-on educational opportunities for all ages and learn about the Kiawah Conservancy’s conservation programs. Family friendly activities will include:

*An educational program from the Edisto Island Serpentarium at 4:30PM and opportunities to meet and touch their educational outreach creatures throughout the event
*An opportunity to participate in a live Ladybug Release in the Garden
*Enjoy Kids crafts, face painting, slides, and a jump castle
*Meet with Island naturalists and their favorite animals from the Nature Center
*See, touch and learn all about the endangered diamondback terrapin and what you can do to help protect them
*Enjoy the work of our local artists and photographers as you stroll through the Garden
*Learn about our bees and why they are important to our ecosystems from local Bee Keepers
*Learn all you ever wanted to know about dolphins and marine mammal conservation efforts at the Lowcountry Marine Mammal Network booth
*Learn about shorebird protection efforts on Kiawah Island at the Kiawah Island Shorebird Stewardship booth
*Learn about Island research efforts and wildlife
*Learn about Kiawah Conservancy’s conservation efforts, habitat program, preserved properties, educational opportunities and how you can help
*Explore and interact with nature using the Kiawah Conservancy’s new mission on the Agents of Discovery App
*Join the new Kiawah Garden Keepers group and help keep the Naturally Kiawah Garden beautiful
*Enjoy live music by The Joy Project from 5-7PM

The Kiawah Conservancy’s Earth Day Celebration is a great opportunity to increase environmental awareness in our community. We encourage residents and guests alike to join us for this free, fun, family oriented event and learn how you can make a difference in our community

Registration is not required for this FREE event. Just join us in the Garden.
