Have a cup of coffee with KICA COO Jimmy Bailey on Thursday, Jan. 18! This informal Q & A session gives members the opportunity to share their thoughts and get answers to their questions.
Let the brisk air and beautiful sights invigorate you during an energizing morning walk twice a week. The Walking Club will start at Beachwalker Center, walking a few different island routes. Don’t worry, there will be stops to stretch or power up every now and then.
Water bottles will be supplied before and after. Bring a friend or two. Contact KICA Recreation at firstname.lastname@example.org or 843-768-3875 for more information or to sign up.
The Sea Islands Parkinson’s Support Group (SIPS) meets on the third Thursday of every month at 2:30 p.m. at Church of Our Saviour, 4416 Betsy Kerrison Parkway, Johns Island. Those diagnosed with PD, whether full- or part-time residents, as well as their Care Partners are welcome. Sessions will be informal, with perhaps a guest speaker from time-to-time. If there is interest, a separate group for Care Partners may evolve as well. Sessions are open to all, although the main focus is on residents of Kiawah, Seabrook, Johns and Wadmalaw islands. There are no dues, and RSVPs are not required.
This Our World has been canceled. Mickey Bakst will be rescheduled at a later date.
