Weekend Rains May Cause Localized Flooding on Island Roadways

Kiawah has experienced heavy rainfall over the past several weeks and more rain is expected over the weekend. This rainfall will correlate with the predicted king tides, which are Sept. 7-10. During rainfall events, you may see localized flooding in low-lying areas.

KICA Security patrols monitor island roadways and puts out warning signage in problem areas during these events. Regardless of signs, please use caution while driving and never drive through standing water.
