Volunteer for the Board Outreach and Education Committee

update: application deadline extended to Aug. 31 at 5 p.m.

This year, the Board Outreach and Education Committee is seeking two community members to join for a two-year term. The Board Outreach and Education Committee, co-chaired this year by Brad McIlvain and Gaye Stathis, will focus on encouraging potential candidates to run for the KICA board by answering questions about board service and sharing information about board candidates in advance of the election. Most of the committee’s board candidate recruitment and communication efforts will occur from September through November.

Board directorship provides members a chance to help shape the future of Kiawah and ensure that its value is retained. The committee will no longer recommend candidates for board service; however, the committee’s format and process recognizes the community’s important role in selecting their directors from an equally-represented slate of candidates.
