Traffic Alert: Governors Drive Drainage Improvement Project at Trumpet Creeper Lane

A drainage connection under Governors Drive near Trumpet Creeper Lane will be replaced, closing one lane of traffic for construction in mid-November. Traffic flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic, but expect delays inbound and outbound on Governors Drive near Trumpet Creeper Lane and Yellowthroat Lane. Traffic interruptions are expected during commercial work hours (7 a.m.-7 p.m., M-F; 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday) starting Monday, Nov. 11 through Tuesday, Nov. 26.

This work is a part of the sixth and final drainage improvement project associated with the 2020 flood mitigation projects. “Project 6” involves a host of modifications and improvements to drainage to reduce a recurring flooding issue on Governors Drive.
