Town of Kiawah Island Conducts Traffic Counting Over the Summer

The Town of Kiawah Island has contracted with contractor Quality Counts to conduct traffic counts along several island roadways (Kiawah Island Parkway, Beachwalker Drive and a few other identified locations) over the summer. Traffic counts will take place across three two-week periods in June, July, and August.

There will be crews conducting installations and setup on Wednesday, May 31, which should not cause any issues from a traffic control standpoint. Please use caution as you drive through areas where crews are working. The first of the two-week counting periods will begin on June 1. As you travel through the area, you will see tube counters across the roadway and cameras capturing the number of vehicles driving through.
