Stay Fit and Stay Informed – Fitness Updates at the Sandcastle
Ring in the New Year with fitness classes at the Sandcastle! Come join us this January and get a head start on your New Year’s resolutions with our fun and immersive course offerings.

A beach Power Walk and Golf and Racquet Fitness return to the January 2023 schedule. Our Power Walk class offers you to join our instructor and neighbors for a brisk walk and body weight exercises, great for all levels of fitness! Start your day with an invigorating walk on the beach Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m.
The Golf and Racquet Fitness program is designed to support the movements of golf, tennis and pickleball by developing rotational flexibility, strength, and power creating a more consistent level of play. Golf and Racquet Fitness will return to Friday afternoons.
Tai Chi will be discontinued for five months while our wonderful instructor, Maurice, seeks additional training in tai chi overseas. Maurice, a national champion in tai chi, plans to return with a new depth of knowledge in the art! In the meantime, we invite you to join Well Balanced with Alison. This class will help to increase balance, flexibility, sensory awareness, reflexes, and concentration. Who couldn’t benefit from a little more of those?
We all know the best part of being on Kiawah is the outdoors. Why not get your fitness fix while enjoying the sea breeze? Now on Wednesdays at 9 a.m., Outdoor Boot Camp is a fun way to get fit while enjoying fresh air and sunshine. Various circuits will be set up around the pools and playground to challenge your aerobic capacity, balance, core, range of motion and your brain.
Stick around for our grooviest classes yet, as we launch our new dance fitness classes at the Sandcastle starting in February! Our wonderful instructor, Denise, will be offering three different classes for you to choose from – Salsa & Shag, Ballroom & Boogie, and Southern & Swing.
