Run for the KICA Board 2022

Board service is an opportunity for you to share your experience and ideas with the community, represent the interests of your fellow property owners, and be part of the process that steers the future of Kiawah. Diverse board leadership is vital to the continued success of our Kiawah community, and the board thanks you in advance for your interest in making an impact on the future of the island.

For the upcoming Board of Directors Election in January 2022, the community will vote to elect two community members to the board for a three-year term. The elected directors will be seated at the Annual Meeting on March 11, 2022, filling the seats of outgoing directors Dave Morley and David DeStefano.

Key Dates

Nov. 15 – Submission deadline for candidates to submit your intent to run for election
Nov. 16 – Submission deadline for candidates to provide a statement to the community (staff will contact candidates with instructions after intent is submitted)
Nov. 29 & 30 – Candidate video interviews
Jan. 5, 2022 – Meet the Candidates event
Jan. 10, 2022 – Vote opens
Feb. 9, 2022 – Vote closes
Feb. 10, 2022 – Election results announced
March 11, 2022 – Directors-elect seated on the board at the KICA Annual Meeting
