Phishing and Spoofing Scams Using the Names of KICA Board Members

Several members have reported receiving emails that appear to be from KICA board directors but are actually phishing scams. This is a common practice where scammers impersonate trusted community members to request cash, Venmo payments, gift cards, etc.

KICA board directors will never contact members asking for personal information, association payments or any other monetary exchange. If you receive one of these emails, please do not click on any links or reply with your information. If your email provider has a “Report Phishing” button, click it.

If you believe the email may be legitimate, please verify it first by calling or contacting KICA directly.
