One Month In: New Centerline Striping Equates to Safer Trail Experience

Nearly one month ago, centerline striping was added to Kiawah’s main leisure trail, which runs parallel to the Parkway, Governors Drive and down Flyway Drive’s “Allee of Oaks.” Trail etiquette encourages pedestrians and bikers to stay right, which is clearly implied by the new lanes. One month in, we’ve seen more cyclists and pedestrians abiding by the lane etiquette, which makes for safer enjoyment. 

 

Always be mindful of other cyclists and pedestrians you see on island leisure trails. Follow these tips to ensure pleasant and safe trail travels.
