Notice of Power Outage – Restored

KICA has received reports of a power outage impacting the primarily the west end of the island. The outage occurred at 2:27 p.m. and affects 433 properties. According to Berkeley Electric Cooperative’s (BEC) outage map, power is expected to be restored by 4:27 p.m.

Update: at 3:50 p.m., BEC is reporting that the outage is due to an equipment failure. After back-feeding the system, most power should be restored.
