New Pedestrian Crossing Installed at Governors Drive Leisure Trail

Following recent approval from the KICA board, a plan to relocate the pedestrian crosswalk that connects the leisure trail on either side of Governors Drive, near the Vanderhorst (V) Gate was enacted. Produced as a response to pedestrian safety concerns, this new crosswalk creates a safer transition for pedestrians and enhances sight lines for traffic. The relocation was completed on Thursday, Dec. 19 and the crossing is currently open for use. Landscape mitigation will be completed in the coming weeks. Take a stroll and check it out for yourself, but always remember to look both ways!
