New Member Service to Make Gate Access Easier for Members

Island security is one of the most important services KICA performs for members. We aim to never stop improving our services to make them more responsive and relevant. As part of that push, members will soon have a new, easier way to request gate passes for guests. KICA is teaming up with Applications by Design, Inc. (ABDI) to introduce more options for members and their guests. Their system is already being used with success on Seabrook Island.

Once the system is up and running, KICA will mail login, password and access instructions to all members. The program’s member portal will allow you to request guest passes, opt-in to get notifications when your guests arrive at the gate and view your access history.

Your guests, who are authorized for access to the island when you request a pass, can use an electronic pass on their phone or have passes waiting for them at the Main Gate like they have in the past. If you prefer to call or email in a guest pass request to Security staff, you will still be able to do so. The new system offers an additional option but no options are being phased out.
