July Security Report Shows an Average of 8500 Vehicles Entering the Island Per Day

In July, KICA Security reported 263,294 vehicles through the Main Gate and 147,328 vehicles through the Vanderhorst Gate (V-Gate). With an average of nearly 8,500 vehicles per day coming onto the island, July 2024 had higher traffic than July 2023 or 2022, while the V-Gate numbers were between 2022 and 2023 in volume.

10,753 non-cost passes, which include member guest, resort day, renter, special event and other pass types, were issued during the month, along with 3,455 paid commercial passes. 71% of paid commercial passes were for a 4-Wheel Day pass, which cost a commercial customer $20.

570 violations were reported. Consistent with the rest of 2024, most of the violations were for parking. Most other violations were in the pass, miscellaneous and trailer at residence categories.
