Developer Director Townsend Clarkson Retires from KICA’s Board

Townsend Clarkson has been a familiar face on Kiawah for over three decades, and has served the community on the association’s board of directors twice throughout his career with the island’s master developer, Kiawah Partners. The developer retains a permanent seat on KICA’s board and Townsend has served as the appointed director for a total of 19 years (1989-2001 and 2014-present). (Read more about Townsend in this May 2021 profile.)

On behalf of the community, The Kiawah Island Community Association would like to thank Townsend for his decades of committed service to this island. On Monday, Nov. 8, Amanda Mole, who has been appointed as developer-director by Kiawah Partners, will take her seat on the board. Amanda serves as the director of Architecture for Kiawah Partners and is the chair of the Architectural Review Board. Amanda began her career on Kiawah in 1999, bringing 22 years of Kiawah experience to KICA’s board of directors.
