Comcast Experiences Statewide Outage Impacting Kiawah

10 a.m. Update – Internet service has been restored on the island. Some members are still experiencing cable outages. During the outage, lines and redundancy lines were damaged, but work is underway to get service restored.

8 p.m. Update: Comcast reports that the damage is in a storm-affected part of Augusta. The company is not able to say how long restoration will take at this point.

Comcast has reported experiencing a statewide outage, affecting its Xfinity services across South Carolina. Many homes on Kiawah report being impacted by this outage.

The company is currently working toward restoration after a power feed line was cut in Augusta, Georgia.
