Aug. 15 – Lane Closed on Kiawah Island Parkway for Drainage Work

Update: Previously scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 7, drainage work on the Kiawah Island Parkway has been rescheduled due to Tropical Storm Debby. The work will now take place on Thursday, Aug. 15. During this time, one lane will be closed with flaggers in place to direct traffic.

KICA is conducting preparations in advance of drainage work on the Kiawah Island Parkway next week. Expect delays and traffic impacts on the outbound lane of the parkway between Surfwatch Drive and Green Winged Teal Road as a drainage pipe clean-out is conducted. During this time, traffic control will be in place in the affected area adjacent Pond 22, and crews will work to minimize disruptions. Please obey instructions and use caution while driving in this area.

This work supports pending drainage work in the area.
