A Personal Message from KICA Board Chair Jerry McGee
I’m reaching out to let you know that the implementation of The Sandcastle access changes as approved by the board will take effect on Monday, April 10.
I know many of our members are not happy with this result. However, I’d like to emphasize that we do not consider this matter closed. Instead, we are continuing to review your thoughtful suggestions and will pass them along to The Sandcastle User Group.
The user group will evaluate your feedback, the overall implementation of the changes, and, most importantly, whether their end goals are being achieved. From there, we expect more revisions as we move closer to a workable set of rules. To the dedicated Sandcastle User Group members, I would like to say thank you for all you have done over the past year and for your willingness to revise as necessary.
To our wider membership, I want to say that we encourage your continued thoughts as we work to get this right. If you do have additional comments or suggestions to make, especially after the April 10 implementation, I encourage you to complete the form here.
There’s a role for all of us to play in this process and, while I know there is no universally acceptable solution, we will be open to change.
