A New Season of Our World Kicks Off Oct. 20

Our World is a complimentary educational lecture series produced by KICA that provides members with presentations by local experts on a wide variety of subjects. The Our World season launches in the fall and runs through April. All presentations are held at 3 p.m. at The Sandcastle.

The season kicks off Thursday, Oct. 20 with an exploration of the end of life with Bonnie Compton, who works as an end of life doula. A sought-after speaker, author and researcher, Bonnie seeks to offer support and resources to help individuals and families navigate end of life decisions. As a trained counselor and nurse, Bonnie has spent more than 30 years working with families going through serious challenges and stressful events. She believes that it is important that individuals and families have conversations about death and about the decisions that often precede such a difficult time.

Register for this event.
