Blue Heron Pond Tower

This viewing tower along the Preserve nature trail overlooks the scenic Blue Heron Pond. There is a small parking lot on Grey Widgeon Lane. Restrooms are nearby at the Cinder Creek Pavilion.

Marsh Island Viewing Tower

Walk or bike to this scenic trail and take the wooden bridge, which leads out to the uninhabited Marsh Island. The tower overlooks vast marsh land and the Kiawah River.

Marsh Hawk Viewing Tower

Climb the tower to soak in sweeping marsh views and overlook the Cougar Point golf course's hole 6. Parking is available on the side of the Marsh Hawk Lane cul-de-sac.

Eagle Point Boat Landing

Eagle Point is a boat landing for KICA members. This launch is ideal for small boats, kayaks and paddle boards and vehicle and trailer parking is available.

Cinder Creek Pavilion and Docks

34 Blue Heron Pond Rd, Johns Island, SC, USA

Cinder Creek features a pavilion for small gatherings and events, restrooms and a dock with a launch platform for paddle sports like kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. Member paddle sports storage is also located at Cinder Creek and can be reserved through our Sandcastle member services team.

Rhett’s Bluff Boat Landing

102 Rhetts Bluff Rd, Kiawah Island, SC, USA

KICA members are invited to launch their boat, kayak or paddle board at Rhett's Bluff. Rhett's Bluff features two docks, a picnic pavilion, restrooms and parking for vehicles and trailers. There is no overnight docking or parking.

Kiawah Conservancy

The Sandcastle

The Sandcastle is the community clubhouse for members of the Kiawah Island Community Association. The Sandcastle features two swimming pools, a gym, meeting and event space, a lending library and a summer-season grille and bar.
