Our World is an educational outreach program for Kiawah property owners, which invites speakers with expert knowledge of local, national and global issues of significance. Lectures are complimentary, but an RSVP is required. KICA members may invite accompanied guests to attend. Any guests in attendance must also be registered to attend and accompany a KICA member at the time of check-in.
“The State of the Coastal Insurance Industry”
Representatives from the Steadman Agency and Pure Insurance Company will be on hand to discuss the challenges homeowners are facing in insuring their property.
As Kiawah residents are aware, insurance costs continue to be a prominent and significant factor in owners’ yearly expenses and ongoing damage from hurricanes and wildfires throughout the country only promise to increase the issues surrounding property insurance.
Please note that this is not a sales presentation. It is a recap of the factors that drive insurance rates, and a discussion of what owners can do to help protect their investments and seek ways to lower insurance costs.
As the OUR WORLD program only allows for a one-hour presentation, including a Q&A at the end, we would like to reach out to our Islanders and owners beforehand to get as many questions as possible prior to the presentation, so that we may have the panel incorporate these questions and their answers into the presentation.
We would urge you to be present at the Presentation, however, because of the importance of this subject, a summary of the presentation will be made available to all owners following the program.

ABOUT OUR WORLD
Established in 2008 under the auspices of the Kiawah Island Community Association (KICA), Our World is an educational outreach program for Kiawah property owners, which invites speakers with expert knowledge of local, national and global issues of significance. Committee members include KICA members who partner with Sandcastle staff to provide several programs each month on Thursdays from October through April.
