Our World is an educational outreach program for Kiawah property owners, which invites speakers with expert knowledge of local, national and global issues of significance. Lectures are complimentary, but an RSVP is required.

 

This Session of Our World

When Satch Krantz retired as director of Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia after 44 years, he had the distinction of being the longest-serving zoo keeper in the country. He’s done it all: delivered a giraffe baby at 3 a.m. and jumped to the bottom of a pool to save a newborn sea lion. Krantz will share information and insights about his time in one of the country’s wildest professions. This program is co-sponsored by the Kiawah Island Nature Group (KING).
