Kiawah Conservancy Special Update: The Ecological Health of Kiawah Island

There is nothing more important to Kiawah residents than the vitality of the Kiawah River Watershed. The Kiawah Conservancy has made the protection and improvement of the watershed one of its highest priorities.
On Jan. 16, Kiawah Conservancy’s Senior Ecological Health and Conservation Coordinator, Lee Bundrick, and Restoration and Enhancement Specialist, Sean Cannon, will provide a summary of the ecological health and the environmental research and monitoring efforts along the Kiawah River watershed. They will share recommendations for improving and enhancing the area’s ecological health, and will outline the Conservancy’s current efforts, including native plant initiatives and the sweetgrass project.
