The Authoritarian Personality in the Modern World

This course, taught by College of Charleston Faculty Advisor Brian Ganaway, Ph.D., explores whether authoritarian leaders represent a deviation from the historical norm, or whether they are a common response to change and crisis. Each week will discuss a key figure, including Napoleon Bonaparte, Francisco Franco, Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong.
