Instructor Mary Jo Roberts will teach tai chi sessions on Wednesdays through May 23. Tai chi is a program of low impact, gentle movement. Each posture flows into the next without pause, keeping the body in constant motion. Learn this gentle and beneficial art, which can help increase flexibility and improve joint mobility. The practice can also lower stress and promote a sense of calm and well-being.
No experience is necessary to participate in the class, which will include stretching, breathing and guidance on proper stances.
Mary Jo Roberts has been a tai chi practitioner for two decades. She has used tai chi to help equestrians ride in a more relaxed frame of mind. She has successfully adapted qi gong for people with disabilities.
*Class is complimentary for members and $15 per class for guests. There will be no class on April 25.
